Dr. Kim of the Korean Precision Medicines Enterprice is confirmed as speaker at the International Conference on Perspectives in Precision Medicine
The International Conference on Perspectives in Precision Medicine, 28 February - 1 March 2018, in Copenhagen, is honored to announce that Dr. Yeul Hong Kim will present the Korean goverment project on Precision Medicine.
The project was launched in 2017 and composed of the Cancer Diagnosis & Treatment Enterprise (K-MASTER) and the Precision-Hospital Information System Enterprise (P-HIS).
The research objective of the K-MASTER is developing a global precision medical cancer diagnosis and treatment method by establishing a comprehensive integration platform with the best possible integration of the molecular diagnosis and new targeted agents, which can be used in the near term. Also, the K-MASTER aims to operate and expand the development of a large scale genomic and clinical data warehouse, combined with various solution developments for precision medicine of cancer patients.
The research objective of the P-HIS is developing Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Mobile-Based Precision Healthcare Hospital Information System to integrate and analyze diverse medical data and use in real-time care. At a 2nd stage, the Korean government and the P-HIS Enterprise will promote the spread and export of cloud-based precision medical hospital information systems in Korea and into overseas export businesses.
Yeul Hong Kim, MD, PhD, is Professor of Medical Oncology at the Korea University College of Medicine and Director of the Korea University Cancer Institute. He is certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the Korean Association of Internal Medicine. And he is a pioneer in Korea in the area of liquid biopsy using circulating tumor DNA isolated from cancer patient’s blood.
