Leica Biosystems scouts for new partnering possibilities with researchers and innovators

Deadline for submission of proposals is 8 March 2019
Leica Partnering Day scheduled for beginning of May 2019

Leica Biosystems is interested to explore options for new partnering possibilities with researchers and innovators and scouts for projects and technologies that match Leica Biosystems' areas of interest.

Leica Biosystems is a global leader in workflow solutions and automation, integrating each step in the process. As the only company to own the workflow from biopsy to diagnosis, they are uniquely positioned to break down the barriers between each of these steps.

Leica Buisystems easy-to-use and consistently reliable offerings help improve workflow efficiency and diagnostic confidence and is committed to broadening their relationships with other innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs in a variety of ways, based on needs and objectives. The goal is to find a way to match resources.

Two main topics in our current focus are:

  1. New or improved techniques for the preparation of "cell blocks" (paraffin-embedded cells)
  2. Digital staining (label-free) as an alternative to "special staining"

Submitters of projects and technologies selected by Leica Biosystems will be invited to pitch (nonconfidential information only) in May 2019. Several decision makers from the designated business units will join this event with the aim to identify concrete new opportunities for research and development collaborations within their area of expertise.
