News release: Biomarkers – what is the next step?
On December 4, Biopeople was the host of the Biomarkers' project's dissemination seminar, a full day of ideas for capacity building, in the Maersk Tower. A host of prominent invited speakers shared their thoughts and visions, along with researchers involved with the project.
During the day the participants at the dissemination seminar gave feedback to the recommendations from the project and discussed how to involve patients more, how to overcome the challenges for the companies to get access to data and samples and how to address the increased regulatory demands – and what is needed to build a Danish infrastructure to promote the development of better medicines for the benefit of both patients and society.
The project ‘Biomarkers – an emerging growth area’ was co-funded by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education and ends 31 December 2018. Biopeople has been project lead and a white paper with the recommendations based on the results from the mapping of challenges and opportunities in the field were published in relation to the seminar.
Are you interested in participating in a continuation of this discussion and brainstorm on what can be the next steps towards building a better infrastructure for biomarker development?
