Strengthening the ties in 2017

Written byRandi Munch Krogsgaard

2016 has run out and 2017 has begun and we will use the opportunity to thank you for contact, collaboration, interaction and activities in 2016.

In 2016 Biopeople truly strengthened its focus and concentrated on being in the forefront of Personalised Health Care and Personalised Medicine Innovation, and we initiated more activities related to the Danish Biomarker Network, which will materialize further in the coming year.

In 2017 we will conclude our project to secure qualified work force to the biotech manufacturing industry in Greater Copenhagen - Region Zealand. This project has set new standards for collaboration between educational institutions and companies in the region.

We will continue to support our front running initiative of establishing more patient training and more patient engagement in medicine research and development leading to better access of medicines to patients. Among our high priorities is the national EUPATI Platform, which is an excellent example of a public/private/patient advocate partnership. We foresee that being at the forefront of educating and engaging patients as stakeholders in medicines R&D will lead to better access of novel biomedical prophylaxis and cures to patients, and to optimized business systems for industry to deliver solutions for medical needs.

In the beginning of 2017, all our Biopeople Member Companies will be contacted and visited by Biopeople. The aim is to strengthen the ties between Biopeople and our Member Companies, learning more about research activities, businesses and needs.

Based on analysis, we will continue to strengthen ties between Danish cluster participants, and we will tailor-make invitations to join our Boost4Health Voucher Programme, which implies opportunities for matchmaking, coaching and collaborations with stars of other other leading biotech regions.

We plan to expose more companies and partner research groups through profiles in Biopeople Information. Please feel free to tip us with news and press releases whenever possible. We will contact you for interviews or just post the news. Please send it to Communication Manager Randi Krogsgaard at randi.krogsgaard(at)

One more thing: We ask you kindly to give Biopeople feed-back by filling in a small questionnaire, which you reach through this link -Biopeople Annual Survey 2016.

We look forward to being in touch in 2017.

I wish you a Happy, Fun and Prosperous New Year!

Per Spindler

Director, Biopeople
