The Danish Life Science Cluster established

The Danish Life Science Cluster (DLSC) has been established as an association at the funding meeting on 24 November 2020. The Board constituted by companies, knowledge institutions and the Danish health care system looks forward to taking on the important task of contributing to and improving the basis for world class health care, innovation and product development for the benefit of growth and welfare. Please see the press release (in Danish) about the establishment of DLSC here.

Danish Life Science Cluster will build on the activities of the existing cluster organisations, including Biopeople, and about 30 employees from these organisations will staff the new cluster organisation, organised in four regional hubs.

Ida Sofie Jensen, CEO of the Danish Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif) will chair the Board of DLSC and Bjarke Bak Christensen, (Chair of Biopeople's Steering Committee), Head of Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine, DTU, is appointed Vice Chairman of the DLSC Board.

Thank you for 15 exciting years

Due to the establishment of DLSC, the Biopeople secretariat closes down as of 31 December 2020, and it is time to say good bye after 15 years of operation!

We thank you so much for your contributions over the years. It has been a great pleasure to collaborate and network with all our members and other key stakeholders of the Biopeople Life Science community.

We now join forces with the DLSC partners and hope that many of our members and followers will take part in the future journey and activities, facilitating growth, innovative research and development.

In case you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact jane.nohr@biopeople.ku.dk, whose mail address will be open.
