Synthetic Health Data Hackathon 2020

Join this a virtual hackathon, which brings together students, researchers, entrepreneurs and biopharma companies to work on new approaches to diabetes and Alzheimer’s data. The event is hosted by Rigshospitalet with collaborators and mentors from leading Nordic universities and life science companies.

27-11-2020 - 19:00 - 29-11-2020 - 14:00

The Synthetic Health Data 2020 hackathon will take place on the weekend of November 27-29th as a 100% virtual hackathon. In small teams, students and researchers will have 40 hours to get creative and develop innovative ways to work with different data sets related to diabetes and Alzheimer's. This hackathon is a part of the SHARED project and hosted by Rigshospitalet’s professor Henning Langberg.

Who should join?

The event is for students, researchers, and entrepreneurs with backgrounds in bioinformatics, biology, biostatistics, data science and related fields. The event is open to attendees irrespective of their programming level or experience (we can match you with a team that can do the required data crunching). The hackathon is for you if you are excited to use and learn about data science; if you are curious to meet and work with new people; and are ready to give your best shot at tackling some of our time’s most pressing diseases.

What to expect?

  • Meet new peers, collaborators and mentors from industry and academia
  • Learn about synthetic data and machine learning
  • Lots of coding and of course lots of fun
