Biopeople Newsletter June/July 2020 - Biopeople

Welcome to the June/July 2020 issue of Biopeople's Newsletter

Welcome to the June/July 2020 issue of Biopeople's Newsletter

This is the last issue before the summer break - we will return in August.

This newsletter has a focus on business opportunities seen from two different angles - one is the importance of securing Intellectual Property Rights, patent agency AWA is profile of the month and has an important message to biotech start-ups. AWA and Biopeople has a joint interest in exposing the challenges of IPR to our mebers.

The other business opportunity angle is sustainability - together with Copenhagen Science City we held a Brew Your Own seminar on sustainability and bring an article about this interesting and exciting seminar.

During the past three month we arranged several webinars and have gained valuable experience hosting these online meetings. And we are sure that this kind of meetings are here to stay. However, they work best, when you have a traditional meeting concept with presentations followed by Q/A's. We therefore look forward to be able to inviting you to physical meetings again, where networking, spontaneous discussions and socialising is easier and more facilitating for future collaborations.

We wish you a nice summer and look forward to meeting you again in August.

Enjoy your reading!

However, a start-up biotech company may experience more challenges than companies in other businesses may. This is due to the long and financially heavy drug development process.”

If this is not the case, the business idea might fail. Biopeople and the patent agency AWA therefore co-arrange a range of webinars under the title ”Patents and other IP”. The webinars last an hour and are open to everybody interested.
